Performances
Improvisation as an art form is not about showing what you can do, it's about revealing your truth in each unfolding moment. An improvised performance, because of its inherent risk and deep levels of authenticity, provides an immediacy and intimacy that are extremely engaging for an audience. They feel connected to the performers and to each other.

Involving the Audience
In the audience involvement pieces-which are always central to an Alligator Mouth Improv performance-the ensemble uses words and stories contributed by the audience, allowing them to feel like it's their performance. That's why we're perfect for keynote addresses at conferences, organizational celebrations, and community-building events.
What to Expect from an Improvisational Performance
Typically, an improvised piece will have a "score" (an intention, a set of rules, some guiding form), but nothing else will be known ahead of time. Some pieces will be more abstract, some less. Count on them to move from funny to profound and back again, sometimes in one piece. Come with no expectations; leave with a greater sense of what's possible.
After a group of international high school students heard their stories sung to them at a farewell gathering, they openly wept, and Eleanor Cicerchi, the group's coordinator, wrote: "The students were in awe of your talents and, as you saw, were visibly moved."
